(Hennepin County Jail) Two more men face charges in a Highway 100 shooting that wounded a driver in St. Louis Park. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed, 20, and Ayub Abdirashiid Said, 19, are charged with drive-by shooting and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, according to court documents. The charges stem from a Sept. 30 shooting on Highway 100, where the victim had a gunshot wound to the ankle and a passenger was uninjured. RELATED: Blaine teen charged in Highway 100 shooting that hurt driver The complaints said the victims, riding in a white Honda Accord, had been at a restaurant and were driving to Minnetonka when they noticed a black Hyundai Sonata following them. Video showed the Hyundai following the Honda from the restaurant to the shooting on Highway 100. The Hyundai was registered to Abdisalan Muhumed Ali, who was driving. Said was in the front passenger seat, and Mohamed was in the back seat, where they discharged the firearms towards the Honda. Phone data placed Ali near the restaurant and the shooting, while gym video showed Mohamed and Said riding in the car earlier that day, according to the complaint. Court documents said Mohamed, Said and Ali are affiliates of “SLP,” a criminal street gang that investigators said is feuding with “Muddy.” The complaints said the Honda driver is believed to be associated with “Muddy.” Ali is set to have his bonding hearing on Friday. Mohamed and Said have their omnibus hearing on Dec. 1.
